Media accreditation for this year’s Jaguar Simola Hillclimb has now opened and can be completed online. As in previous years – and just as with the competitors’ entries and online ticket sales – we are expecting record interest in the 2018 event from all forms of media: print, video and the continually growing spread of internet platforms.
Visual, word and sound coverage of the spectacular and unique event (recognised now by most pundits as South Africa’s biggest annual motorsport offering) has grown alongside the entrant demand and on-track spectator interest, and the organisers have, accordingly, had to be more selective as to who they grant accreditation each year.
From the detailed information which must be submitted in the accreditation application process, as well as our own growing database, media representatives are selected for their ability to provide the most credible, comprehensive and effective coverage in all three phases of the event – before, during and after it is run.
The organisers best advice to all interested media is to fill out your applications earlier rather than later. Each submission will receive a prompt response which details exactly when the accreditations will be decided and – for the successful applicants – the off-track ticket-collection routine before the event.
