The Knysna Speed Festival is not just about fast cars and performance. There is a wide variety of exciting entertainment available for festival fans as well.

The Knysna High School sports fields are going to be transformed into a carnival – with bands, DJ’s, dancers, carnival events and stalls selling food and drink. The concert on the Saturday night from 6pm will blow away the dust from the afternoon’s racing and get everyone rocking and rolling. Called the “Petrol Head Opskop”, the concert will feature a selection of bands and DJ’s to make sure you do not stop moving. The line-up for the evening will be: Unè van Zyl and her dancers “LOVE.DANCE”, El-Rico, up and coming hip hop artist, with Lynne Atkinson and Black and White Dogs who play classic rock in the genre of Jimmy Hendrix, Led Zeppelin and Eric Clapton. The band Rapid Auto Fire plays original classic rock with “One on One” their excellent debut single. DJ Lee Munati will entertain the crowds with his “Uplifting Tech-House Music. The party then heads for Zanzibar where the “official Speed Festival after party” will take place till 2 am Sunday morning.

Everyone who attends the concert will be able to win fantastic prizes. The band RAF will be giving away a personalised guitar at the concert – so make you sure you attend! There will also be an unforgettable drive in a Ferrari for a lucky winner. A Mitchell’s Brewery beer garden will ensure that no one goes thirsty.

To avoid traffic problems – there will be a shuttle from the campsite to the Hillclimb during the day. And if you want the ultimate festival experience, you can take a trip in a helicopter over the track and around Knysna.

To get a taste of what to expect, watch the official Knysna Speed Festival video which features the first official song for the Knysna Speed Festival. Featuring RAF, the song “One on One” is high energy, like the cars it represents. Catch RAF on their Facebook site at “Rapid-Auto-Fire”. RAF will be featured live at our music festival at the campsite on Saturday 19th May. You can access the video and sound track here: http://t.co/vcJTDzOz
