Following President Cyril Ramaphosa’s declaring a national state of emergency last night over the coronavirus pandemic the organisers of the Simola Hillclimb have announced that the event will be postponed to later in the year.
The remarkable success of the annual Simola Hillclimb over the past 10 editions has been built on the amazing array of cars and drivers that compete in this exceptional event. It has established a peerless reputation for attracting the biggest names in local motorsport, along with a growing contingent of international drivers from around the world.
Winners of South Africa’s premier motorsport and motoring lifestyle event, the Simola Hillclimb, will now be guaranteed an entry into the fourth edition of the FIA Hill Climb Masters event to be held in Braga, Portugal from 9 to 11 October 2020.
