Qualifying is done at the 2022 Simola Hillclimb’s Classic Car Friday, with Ian Schofield cementing his dominance of the event so far after recording his fastest time yet at 42.847 sec. All three qualifying runs were within 0.116 seconds of each other, showing Schofield’s impressive consistency in the March 77B.
Robert Wolk went 0.4 sec quicker to claim the second-best time of 47.728 sec, while Rui Campos elected to sit out Q3 with a comfortable lead in his class.
Josh Dovey led the best of the rest in his 1972 Chevron B20 F3 with his best time thus far (48.175 sec), while 2015 Classic Conqueror winner Charles Arton slotted into fourth place in his 1972 Datsun 240Z (49.801 sec).
