The Jaguar Simola Hillclimb 2015 will be the sixth running of the event and is once again set to be bigger and better than ever. The phone has been hot … fans and prospective competitors have been phoning to enquire about the event like never before. Will you be one of the targeted 15 000 people enjoying the spectacular action in May?
Scheduled for 14-17 May 2015, the Hillclimb is the second in Jaguar’s three-year commitment to the event. Jaguar’s commitment has allowed us to already begin our planning for 2015 with some very exciting and innovative ideas in the pot for the event. We won’t let all the excitement out the bag just yet, but as the date draws closer we will reveal all.
The success of the 2014 event, which saw 11222 people through the gate – including South African sporting heroes John Smith, Eben Etsebeth, Butch James and media celebrities Ciro De Siena and Nicole da Silva – drew unparalleled interest and word of the event has spread far and wide with not only South African interest reaching new heights, but the level of international enquiries has risen dramatically as well.
Whether you have attended the Jaguar Simola Hillclimb before, or not, you won’t want to miss the 2015 edition. Whether you are a petrol head, speed lover or just someone who just loves a good time – you will leave satisfied and enthralled at the spectacle.
As is now the norm, we will host the Speed Festival Charity Golf Day on Thursday 14 May.
And… on the same day… this year at the Knysna Speed Festival, there will be the addition of a new event: Supercar Thursday.
Supercar Thursday is designed to provide an arena for Supercar owners to enjoy the performance of their cars without the pressure of racing in the ultra-competitive King of the Hill taking place on the Saturday and Sunday.
Thursday 14 May: Supercar Thursday, Knysna Speed Festival Charity Golf Day.
Friday 15 May: Classic Car Friday
Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 May: King of the Hill
For more information visit our website at www.speedfestival.co.za or email info@speedfestival.co.za. Book your accommodation with one of our event partners – they help to make it happen so please support them!
And if you are keen to enter and participate in one of these races, we will be publishing the Regulations and opening the entries via our website on Monday 2 February.
See you in Knysna!
