Updates: KOH Sunday pit lane and an incident-filled morning warm-up session

  • #44 – Franco di Matteo – car repaired and back in action after steering column broke yesterday
  • #9 Terry Smith (the only disabled competitor to compete at the SHC) – engine troubles whole of yesterday in Speedcar Extreme cross kart, hopefully sorted for today
  • #1 Andre Bezuidenhout – scrubbing in new hillclimb tyres this morning. Ran 2019 tyres up to this point
  • #2 Wolk – adjusting front suspension springs to tweak suspension further. Scrubbed in 2 sets of hillclimb tyres yesterday
  • #63 Peter Lindenberg – found body control module issue cutting power in Esses. Hoping to gain 2.5 sec with code cleared
  • #67 Piet Potgieter – went off in the Esses in morning warm up
  • #70 JP van der Walt crossed the finish line sideways and went off the road. Car landed up in the trees. Driver unhurt
  • #26 Wade van Zummeren still finding his feet getting the four-wheel drive GT-R off the line
  • #32 Craig Czank – team sorting out electronics teething issues on Nissan GT-R powered Lotus, limiting power and no driver aids such as ABS working. Car just finished in time for this year’s event so using it as a shakedown
  • #18 Chris Hollis GT-R stopped @ Turn 2, halting the session
