The Simola Hillclimb (SHC) is South Africa’s premier annual motoring and motorsport lifestyle event, attracting the highest calibre of local and international drivers, teams and manufacturers who compete for Classic Car Friday and King of the Hill glory. Accordingly, it is the must-attend event of the year for competitors, media, sponsors and spectators.
Media representatives, as well as motoring and motorsport enthusiasts who specialise in journalism, photography, videography, blogging, vlogging and operate or contribute to established publications, websites and/or social media platforms, are invited to submit accreditation applications for the 2027 Simola Hillclimb. Supporting documentation and proof of readership/viewers/followers/audience needs to be included in your application.
Spaces are strictly limited for each of the three days (Friday, 30 April May to Sunday, 2 May 2027), which includes access to the pitlane, as well as the Media Centre where desks, chairs, electricity and WiFi are provided. Accreditations are approved and issued at the discretion of the Simola Hillclimb organisers, with consideration given to how each person’s attendance will adequately promote and enhance the coverage and presentation of the Simola Hillclimb.
Priority will be given to media that have valid Motorsport South Africa (MSA) accreditation, however, that does not exclude any other enthusiasts that meet the requirements from applying.
Media Accreditation Applications will open in February 2027.
