WHAT ARE UPGRADES & EXTRAS?
Upgrades will be available to everyone once you have purchased your General Entry or VIP Entry ticket.
Access into the pitlane is restricted in numbers and is tightly controlled for safety reasons. Add this upgrade to get close to the cars, speak to the drivers and enjoy the smell of rubber and launch sounds at the Start line. Do not delay – tickets are limited and sell out fast, so book now!
TURN 2 GRANDSTAND
Situated at the second corner from the start, this 400-seater grandstand offers you a view of the Start line and the uphill to The Bridge where front runner cars reach up to approximately 250km/h. Limited seating, this is a popular spot so book your seat now!
PIT PRIORITY PARKING
Pit Priority Parking allows a ticketholder to park closer to the Pits in a field nearby. Not advisable for Piston Club ticket holders (the Piston Club facility is at the top of the hill and the parking at the bottom) nor for low vehicles as access is via a dirt road.
If you have General Entry tickets, the elderly and young children should be dropped off at the Pit Ticket Entrance before you continue down to the parking as there is walk along a dirt road from the Pit Priority Parking to the Pit Ticket Entrance. If you have purchased a Pit Access upgrade, you will have access to the Pits via the back entrance.
Parking stickers must be collected from the Pit Priority Parking collection point outside Muse restaurant on Old Cape Road, shortly after turning off the N2. It will be clearly signposted.
WHERE, WHAT AND HOW?
GENERAL ENTRY TICKETS
Please print out your Entry ticket and Upgrade tickets if you have them or have the QR code(s) visible on your phone.
Redeem your ticket at the Pit Ticket Entrance, Main Ticket Entrance or Pit Priority Parking collection point if you have added a Pit Priority Parking.
VIP ENTRY TICKETS
LE MANS VIP LOUNGE
Please collect your VIP Entry ticket(s) at the Welcome Centre, which is located in the grandstand building on the Knysna High School Sports Field in Trotter Street, Knysna.
You have two options to get to the event:
– Catch a Shuttle (R30 per person return trip) to the Pit Ticket Entrance gate where your wristband will be scanned. Proceed to the Le Mans VIP Lounge which is a short walk from there.
– Drive to the event: your ticket includes free Pit Priority Parking (1 Parking per 2 Tickets) access. This parking area is located in a field near the Pits and is accessible via a dirt road. Please note that this is not advised if it is raining or if you have a low vehicle. In this situation please take the Shuttle from town.
THE PISTON CLUB
Please collect your access wristbands and P9 Parking stickers at our Welcome Centre, which is located at the Knysna High School Sports Field in Trotter Street, Knysna. Shuttles are available at R30 per person return and depart from Trotter Street. You will be dropped off at the Pit Ticket Entrance and from there the complimentary Piston Club shuttle which will drop you at the facility at the top of the hill.
If you wish to drive to The Piston Club please attached your P9 parking sticker to the top right side of your windscreen and follow signage to The Piston Club along Old Cape Road. The access road to the Piston Club is gravel and steep, and it is not advisable to drive to the Piston Club if it is raining or if you drive a low vehicle – rather catch the Shuttle (R30 per person return) which leaves from Trotter Street and then get the complimentary Piston Club Shuttle.
NB: Pit Priority Parking is at the bottom of the hill, a far walk for a Piston Club ticketholder. If you wish to drive down to the Pits we suggest you purchase a Pit Priority Parking upgrade so that you can park close by. Please note this is not recommended for low cars or if it is raining.
If you do not want to purchase the upgrade, we recommend taking the complimentary Piston Club shuttle down to the Pits – especially if it is raining or if you have a low car as the access road to the Pit Priority Parking is a dirt road.
