Rui Campos topped the timesheets in the second practice session with a time of 48.235 sec, ahead of Charles Arton (1972 Datsun 240Z) on 52.128 and Johan de Bruyn (1968 Porsche 911R) just one-tenth adrift.
Chris Knezovich saw his practice come to a halt with gearbox trouble shortly after pulling off in the raucous 1970 McLaren F5000.
